CYFAR 2006 Conference

CYFAR 2006 was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta Georgia May 17-19, with the PreConference held on the 16th.

The CYFAR Conference has become a Cooperative Extension System tradition as more and more Extension professionals work with new immigrants and low income families in urban, rural and suburban settings; and bring technology into communities with few resources and many needs. The 2006 conference features both keynote speakers and noted researchers addressing critical topics which apply to programs for American children and their families. Interact sessions -- roundtable discussion groups -- provide participants with opportunities for discussion and dialogue on critical issues with Extension colleagues and partners. Workshops, Computer Labs, Poster Sessions and In-depth Training Tracks run from morning to night. Breaks and meals provide informal opportunities to see and talk to staff of CYFAR projects, university resources, and partner organizations which support programs for children, youth, and families.

CYFAR 2005 and earlier Conference Proceedings

The CYFAR Conference proceedings website are maintained for approximately one year. By March of the following year, we ask our Editors to identify resources listed in the proceedings that should be maintained on the CYFERnet site. These resources are then added to the CYFERnet databases under the appropriate category (e.g., School Age, Community, Technology, Evaluation) and the proceedings page is dismantled.
